First time mom, I live in a really small place with a “den” or office that will be a baby room. No closet and only room for one small dresser. How many baby clothes do you actually need? I’m okay with having some larger sizes up to 12M stored elsewhere. But particular for newborn and 0-3, how many sleepers, shirts etc are actually good to have on hand? I just bought a set of 9 short sleeve 10 long sleeve and 9 pants off Facebook in 0-3! Clueless on how much more is needed without going overboard.

I think that’s enough. Get about 5 footie pjs.

@adriana5594,
thank you! It is still on my list to get nice zipper footed sleepers! Definitely going more on the minimal even if it equals laundry more frequently.

@fve,
that’s is great. I did laundry more frequently anyways because babies clothes smells weird after a few days because of spit up and the have blow outs. So you really don’t need that much.

You’ll have more than you need. I echo about 5 or 6 footed pjs. Honestly I had about 4 outfits and she mostly lived in footed pjs. Always need a backup in case of blowouts, but don’t need too many. They outgrow these outfits SO fast during the baby stage. I always had more than I needed.

I used to stick to a 5 rule of each clothing type, it should do fine since your babies coming in summer. I would invest in lots of thick cotton bibs to save babies clothes from spitup. I didn't experience many wee or poop leaks at all it was just the spitup. After solids started clothes get reaaalll messy (if you do blw) so you may want to up the teeshirts abit 8 or so. But I recommend silicone bibs and put a terry towel over your kiddos lap 😂

I think I only had 4 or 5 newborn sleep suits and vests. Then maybe 10 of each 0-3

if you want some pjs that last awhile, look into Little Sleepies or bamboo pjs in general! My daughter is 12 months and is still in 3-6m pjs! 6-12 are still a bit big on her! Newborn would get you a good couple of months! They do offer a discount code (you can use LSVIP) for each order!

I feel if you’re washing your clothes often enough that’s enough. My child also had acid reflux so I eventually stocked up on a lot of burp clothes and footies. I probably went through 2-3 outfits a day and 2-3 burp clothes.

That is plenty! Echoing other responses - get a bunch of footie sleepers. Mine lived in those the first few weeks & they make some quite fashionable ones. 🤗
Also - you may want to get a couple of preemie outfits just in case. Mine was born at 37 weeks but she was tiny and wasn't in newborn size for a couple of months. I never expected it but was so thankful a family friend had given us some preemie outfits.

I love the gowns for the first couple of months - makes night time diaper changes so much easier. But other than that you should be set.

My 22mo old son still lives in onesie pj's lol its just much easier & we have shorts summers here so definitely works out. I had about 12-15 pj's or each size. Also no one had told me that 0-3 is the same as 3mo & so on... Anything you can buy second hand specially baby clothes is better because is cheaper and babies do grow out of clothes quick
